NED University of Engineering & Technology proudly formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Professional Psychology (IPP), Bahria University, marking a significant milestone toward collaborative growth in academia, research, and professional development. Through this partnership, both institutions will work jointly on capacity-building initiatives, including specialized trainings and workshops focused on psychological techniques and therapeutic approaches aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of students and faculty members.
As part of this collaboration, dedicated counselling spaces will be established at NED University by IPP under its “Umeed-e-Nau” initiative to provide professional psychological support services. These services will include individual counselling sessions, group counselling sessions, and training workshops for the students, faculty, and staff of NED University.
The MoU signing ceremony was graced by esteemed leadership from both institutions. Representing NED University were Prof. Dr. Noman Ahmed (Pro Vice Chancellor), Mr. Syed Ghazanfar Hussain (Registrar), Prof. Dr. Mirza Mehmood Baig (Dean, Faculty of Architecture & Sciences), Dr. Mirza Faizan Ahmed (Incharge, Department of Economics & Management Sciences), Dr. Hina Mubeen (Focal Person) and Ms. Maham Fatima (Lecturer).
The representative team from IPP, Bahria University, included Rear Admiral (R) Muhammad Zubair Shafique HI(M) (Director General, Bahria University Karachi), Dr. Kiran Bashir Ahmad (Director & Principal), Dr. Noreen Jaffri (Head of Department), along with Ms. Rabail_Bashir (Clinical Incharge), Ms. Vardah Ahmed (Cluster Head), Ms. Shabnam Arshi (Assistant Professor), Ms. Irum Shabeer (Assistant Manager Alumni Affairs & Fundraising), and Ms. Yusra Khan (Final Year Project Coordinator).
